Digital transformation is becoming a key driving force helping mechanical enterprises improve quality, increase output, optimize management, and expand commercial activities – according to insights shared at the program. Coffee tech ,with the theme “Digitalization and Energy-Saving Solutions for Mechanical Manufacturing Plants.”.

Mr. Lê Minh Trung – Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Support and Development (CSED) – stated that several sectors are being prioritized by the city for digital transformation to strengthen the economy, with the electrical-mechanical and machinery manufacturing industry being a key focus. This sector currently accounts for nearly 20% of Ho Chi Minh City’s total industrial output and maintains an average annual growth rate of 8%.

"The domestic mechanical industry is maintaining a competitive edge in high-precision mold products, with domestic market demand accounting for over 57%, and the remaining 43% for export," Mr. Trung stated. "It is forecast that by 2030, the market size of Vietnam’s mechanical industry could reach 300 billion USD.”

However, businesses still face numerous challenges: high production costs, inconsistent quality, lack of supply chain integration, and limited competitiveness. Digital Transformation is considered the key solution to help businesses overcome these challenges.

Not only applying technology in production, businesses are also encouraged electronic digitization from operations, management to e-commerce and partner search. The implementation smart manufacturing optimizing resources and improving productivity is an inevitable trend in this period. Industrial Revolution 4.0.

At the event, CSED cooperated with BIT Group Investment Joint Stock Company to organize a series of in-depth training sessions to help businesses understand and effectively apply digital transformation in their operations.The program supports businesses in developing digital business strategies, accessing online sales platforms, reducing operational costs, and increasing profits.

Besides, Many programs to support mechanical - electrical - automation businesses has been Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved, and is currently being implemented by CSED for businesses in the area to promote sustainable development and enhance competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
